About Us
First Baptist Child Development Center is a Christ-centered early childhood program serving children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children are encouraged to learn, grow, and experience the love of Christ each day.

What You'll Do
As a Teacher Assistant, you will:
- Support the Lead Teacher in creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
- Build meaningful relationships with children while encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Assist with daily classroom routines, learning activities, transitions, meals, toileting, diapering, and rest time.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Supervise children to ensure their health, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
- Follow all North Carolina child care licensing regulations and center policies.
- Be a dependable, positive team member who is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience working in a licensed child care facility is required.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- NC Early Childhood Credential, CDA, or Early Childhood Education coursework.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with preschool-aged children.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
