Job Title: Sandwich Shop Crew Member – Sammy’s Sub Shop (Aksarben Village, Omaha, NE)
About Us
Sammy’s Sub Shop is a locally owned sandwich shop in the heart of Aksarben Village. We’ve been serving Omaha for just over a year, and we’re proud to make things the right way: our signature sourdough hoagies are baked in-house daily, and we make our own sauces, desserts, and even some of our proteins from scratch. We believe in good food, good people, and creating a spot where both our team and our guests feel at home.
Position Overview
We’re looking for energetic and reliable team members to join our growing crew. At Sammy’s, you’ll do a little bit of everything—prepping ingredients, assembling sandwiches, helping guests, and keeping the shop running smoothly. If you love food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a tight-knit team, this is the place for you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sandwiches and other menu items to our standards
- Assist with prep work including sauces, proteins, and sides
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive work environment
What We’re Looking For
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person
- Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable and punctual
