Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our fast/casual sandwich shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Duties
- Assist in supervising daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and reconcile daily sales reports
- Train, develop, and supervise staff to uphold company policies and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen and dining areas
- Foster a positive team environment that promotes hospitality excellence and professional growth
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management with a background in food industry operations including casual dining, deli service or quick service restaurants
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and safety protocols. ServSafe certified is a plus.
- Ability to manage staff & schedules.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and high performance
Must have a drivers license and efficient transportation. This role requires bread pick up once a week as well as occasional runs to restaurant depot for supplies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
