Position Summary: The pharmacy technician must work with pharmacy staff, Quality Correctional Care staff, and county staff to provide medications to inmates and facilities.
Mandatory Functions:
- Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
- Comply with court orders, medical department rules and the policies and procedures of Quality Rx.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate therapy, and interactions and communicate
- Assist pharmacist by accurately and efficiently processing, packaging, and dispensing prescriptions
- Remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
- Closely manage inventory in a cost-effective manner
- Recommend improved procedures, equipment, and supplies to supervisor.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Present/participate in in-service education sessions.
- Maintain professional attitude at all times.
- Any and all duties as assigned.
Requirements: Pharmacy technician must be licensed in the state of Indiana. Closed door pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
Position Details: This is a full-time position, M-F, 8AM-4PM w/flexibility for OT when needed.
