JOB This is an FLSA non-exempt professional position assigned to our I.S. Department. The City will soon begin work on the implementation of a new ERP system for which this position will play a critical role in both the implementation and ongoing support.
DEFINITION
Under general direction, provides professional support for the City’s technology programs, including creating, optimizing, configuring, and maintaining Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline business processes across departments. Responds to user support issues and bridges the gap between technical teams and end users by analyzing requirements, designing solutions, managing system upgrades, and providing training to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency. Performs related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives direction from assigned supervisory or management personnel. Exercises technical and functional direction over and provides training to less experienced staff. Exercises no direct supervision over staff.
CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
This classification is responsible for independently performing professional duties in support of the City’s ERP and related technology programs. Positions at this level exercise judgment and initiative in completing assigned tasks, receive only occasional instruction or assistance when new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.
