POSITION SUMMARY
Instructors will provide professional military education instruction to officers in the US Air Force and other services in Joint and Coalition military operations. In almost all cases, instruction will be delivered online. Candidates must demonstrate experience in Joint planning and execution at all levels of war to include the roles that geopolitics, culture, region, and religion play in shaping planning and execution of joint force operations. The positions require a deep working knowledge of Joint doctrine, Joint command and control, Joint force operations, and Joint requirements development to include command and control, intelligence, fires, movement and maneuver, protection and sustainment. Upon hiring, instructors will be required to complete initial faculty development instruction and other requirements to be identified by the Air Force Global College (AFGC). The AFGC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and provides competent contractor and government faculty qualified to accomplish the organization’s goals and mission.
PROFESSIONAL (OPERATIONAL) QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of Intermediate Developmental Education (IDE) and/or Senior Developmental Education. Resident completion preferred but not required.
- JPME Phase I and/or Phase II
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s or Terminal degree in many fields will be considered such as, but not limited to, Military History, Communications Studies, Research Studies, Leadership Studies, Political Science, Foreign Affairs, Public Policy, Public Administration, National/International Security Studies.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Highly-qualified candidates will have one or more of the following sets of experience:

Joint and/or Coalition Military Operations staff experience such as Combatant Command and/or Joint Staff service especially in Intelligence (C/J-2), Operations (C/J-3), or Plans and Strategy (C/J-5)

Combined Air Operations Center
-
Joint Task Force or NATO leadership; other Combined plans or operations leadership

Joint Planning Group
-
Squadron or service equivalent commander or higher in combat arms

Leadership positions in Special Operations or Intelligence

Army, Navy, USAF, or USMC service in Operations (A-3, N-3, G-3) or Plans/Strategy (A-5, N-5, G-5)
- Prior online teaching experience (military or civilian) is a strong plus.
