Position Overview
Via Coquina Nantucket is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate has a refined eye for design, an appreciation for craftsmanship, and a warm, sophisticated approach to client service. This is an opportunity to work in a beautiful, design-driven retail environment while representing exceptional artisans and luxury brands from around the world.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, personalized service to every client.
- Confidently close sales and contribute to achieving store goals.
- Maintain the store's presentation, merchandising, and visual standards.
- Support trunk shows, special events, and seasonal promotions.
- Collaborate with the team to create a positive, supportive, and goal-oriented work environment.
- Develop knowledge of Via Coquina's collections and product lines, with a particular emphasis on fine jewelry.
- Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and daily operational tasks.
- Help receive, organize, and move merchandise as needed.
- Follow all store policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of luxury retail boutique sales experience.
- Fine jewelry sales experience preferred.
- Proven ability to build client relationships, close sales, and contribute to store goals while maintaining professionalism and authenticity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine team player who values collaboration and shared success.
- Highly reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop expertise across multiple product categories, including fine jewelry.
- Able to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 30 pounds.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with retail POS systems, such as Shopify Point of Sale.
- Four-year college degree preferred.
