Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OTR Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate in a timely matter.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive 26' Box Truck.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining the highest standards of safety.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods as required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations while on the road.
Skills
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience with commercial driving and truck driving is essential.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and delivery driver responsibilities.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges encountered during deliveries.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred for this position, but not required.
- Hazmat certification and TWIC Preferred
