Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Restaurant Shift Leader to join our dynamic hospitality team! Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff during your shift, including training new team members and providing ongoing coaching to ensure high performance
- Oversee food preparation and service to guarantee quality standards are met consistently
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with food ordering, and control food costs to optimize profitability
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas of the restaurant
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and create a positive dining experience for every guest
- Assist with shift planning, scheduling staff coverage, and managing operational workflows to maximize efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food handling procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in hospitality or restaurant settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transaction processing
- Solid understanding of inventory control, food safety management, and kitchen operations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in managing hospitality teams, including staff training, interviewing, and performance coaching
- Knowledge of food industry standards including catering, banquets, bar service, and culinary techniques is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform profit & loss analysis when needed
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee shift management efficiently
