American Traveler seeks a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist with vein harvesting experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Salem, VA.
-
Hospital-based Main OR with 10 beds and 1:1 patient ratios
-
Each OR room staffed with 1 circulator and 1 scrub tech
-
10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
-
Rotating call required on weeknights and weekends
-
No floating required outside the unit
-
Uses standard OR equipment including the da Vinci surgical system

Documentation completed in Meditech
-
Procedures performed on the unit include craniotomy, spine fusion, liver resection, Whipple procedure, and MAKO total joint replacement
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience required

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required

Active Virginia license as a Surgical First Assist through the Board of Medicine required
-
Proficiency in orthopedic, neuro, and orthopedic trauma surgeries required

Experience with da Vinci robotic surgical system required

License required if applicable

Serve as First Assist supporting cardiovascular and general surgical procedures including vein harvesting

Collaborate closely with circulating nurses and scrub techs in each OR room

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
