We are looking for a Baker to prepare a wide range of pastries, cookies, muffins, scones, etc. Baker responsibilities include opening the cafe early in the morning, determining what is needed in the bakery case for the day and then baking everything. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker and be able to follow recipes, come up with new items and keep your work space clean. Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Open the bakery early in the morning (5am start time Monday-Friday)
- Prepare daily soups, quiches and scones
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
- Keep workstation clean and sanitary
- Weigh ingredients accurately
- Determine what is needed for the day
- Read recipes and follow them carefully
- Recommend recipes to renew our menu and attract more customers
- Track food supplies
Skills
- Experience as a Baker
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and food processors
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
