Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with precision, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support during busy periods if required
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed diligently, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill splitting accurately
- Experience with serving in hospitality settings such as host/hostess roles or food industry positions is advantageous
