Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate tracking, recording, and management of inventory within our warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits using warehouse management systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, coordinating with transportation providers to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, adjustments, and discrepancies for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping logistics to support efficient order fulfillment processes.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage stock levels, reorder points, and category management strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including warehouse distribution, procurement, and transportation planning.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other logistics software tools.
- Ability to operate forklifts and materials handling equipment safely; forklift certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping & receiving procedures, and freight logistics.
- Excellent data analysis skills to identify trends, discrepancies, or process improvement opportunities.
- Experience with demand planning, order fulfillment processes, and logistics management strategies.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy.
