Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated candidate for an Lead Carpentry posotion on our team to embark on a rewarding journey in the construction industry.
As a Lead Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to work alongside skilled carpenters and learn the various aspects of our process at Full Circle Homes. This role requires hands-on experience, mentorship, and the leadership to brings teams and projects to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Join a skilled residential remodeling team delivering exceptional craftsmanship and client experiences on custom, historic homes and residential remodels
- The work involves woodworking, building frameworks, reading blueprints, meeting building codes, and any other tasks needed or directed by the project manager
- Job seekers should take pride in their work, show up every day with a positive attitude, and enjoy working on a construction project
- Measure, cut, shape, and smooth carpentry materials
- Ensure roofing, floorings, and drywall are compatible and level
- Sculpt and piece together siding, drywall, kitchen cabinets, and furniture
- Construct window and door frames, rafters, partitions, and stairways
- Read blueprints and sketches to fully grasp the requirements
- Oversee all phases of carpentry work on assigned projects
- Coordinate daily tasks, material procurement, and subcontractor scheduling
- Ensure compliance with plans, specs, and building codes
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
- Report project progress and challenges to the Project Manager
- Ensures all crew members use PPE 100% of the time during hazardous tasks
- Conducts daily safety checks & addresses hazards immediately
- Production & Scheduling: Can create accurate daily/weekly work plans that align with the overall project schedule
- Achieves 95%+ on-time task completion for work under their supervision
- Identifies and communicates material or scheduling conflicts at least 48 hours in advance
- Communication & Documentation: Provides clear, complete daily reports to the Project Manager (task progress, issues, material needs)
- Communicates with clients on-site professionally and within company guidelines
- Uses company paperwork (material orders, change orders, time logs) with zero missing or incomplete entries
- Training & Mentorship: Spends at least 10% of workday coaching apprentices or journeymen on skills and safety
- Tracks and reports progress of team members for potential promotions
- Aid in the setup and cleanup of job sites, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout projects.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.

- Enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills in carpentry.

Qualifications:
- This role requires 10 years of hands-on residential carpentry experience
- Strong client-facing communication abilities
- Great physical condition and dexterity
- Strong measuring and math skills required
- Completed carpentry apprenticeship required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Jobsite Leadership: Can plan and assign daily tasks to crew members without input from management
- Technical Skill & Quality: Can build complex assemblies without drawings beyond basic reference plans & consistently produces quality work with ZERO repeat punch list items for the same issue on a project
- Safety Management: Maintains a ZERO recordable incident rate on jobs they lead for 6+ months
- Must have required tools
- Ability to tow a trailer

Preferred Skills:
- Basic understanding of cloud storage (Dropbox)
- Experience with office management software or databases
- Experience with scheduling software and calendar management tools.
- Ability to decipher a set of construction plans is a plus but not required
