- GENERAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Full-Time Position -
Arlington Auto Care is looking for a dependable, motivated General Service Technician to join our busy automotive repair team. We operate a high-volume, 12-bay facility and need someone who takes pride in working safely, efficiently, and professionally.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or developing technician who wants steady work, hands-on experience, and the ability to earn additional commission while advancing their mechanical skills.

COMPENSATION & COMMISSION OPPORTUNITY

In addition to regular pay for general-service duties, technicians can earn additional commission for approved mechanical work they are qualified to perform.

Commission work may include:

Brake repairs
-
Wheel alignments
-
Belt and hose replacement
-
Battery and charging-system repairs
-
Suspension and steering repairs
-
Fluid services
-
Minor mechanical repairs
-
Other approved maintenance and repair work
-
This additional commission is paid separately from the technician’s basic general-service duties, creating an opportunity to increase earnings as skills and productivity improve.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Perform conventional, synthetic-blend, and full-synthetic oil changes
-
Rotate, balance, install, and repair tires
-
Check and adjust tire pressures
-
Inspect and replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, and bulbs
-
Check and top off vehicle fluids
-
Perform battery testing and replacement
-
Complete accurate digital vehicle inspections
-
Notify the service advisor of safety concerns or additional recommended services
-
Complete approved mechanical repairs within the technician’s skill level
-
Properly torque wheels and double-check completed work
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area
-
Help keep the parking lot, service bays, and customer vehicles clean
-
Follow all shop safety procedures and company policies
-
Assist experienced technicians when needed
-
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Automotive service experience is preferred, but we will consider the right entry-level candidate
-
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
-
Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
-
Ability to safely lift tires, equipment, and automotive parts
-
Basic automotive knowledge and mechanical ability
-
Comfortable using shop equipment and digital inspection software
-
Must work well in a fast-paced team environment
-
Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
-
Basic hand tools are preferred
-
Experience performing brakes, alignments, belts, hoses, or other mechanical repairs is a plus

SCHEDULE
