Job Description
T&R Construction is expanding and looking to hire an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Concrete Foreman. Candidates for this role should have a strong background in concrete work, as well as leadership and project management skills. They should also be able to read blueprints, set elevations and grades, and have technical skills in formwork, rebar installation, and concrete finishing. This position will be responsible for supervising and directing concrete field crews, overseeing the various stages of the project, and completing accurate field reports for labor hours, time and materials, and project progress updates.
The Foreman will handle most aspects related to personnel management on site. They will work side by side with laborers and must have the capability to manually complete any activity.

Job Requirements
- Manage daily field operations, supervise crew, and direct projects daily on site
- Communicate with clients and peers, providing updates and answering questions
- Oversee concrete prep, installation, finishing and curing
- Divide projects into stages, evaluating labor and materials for each stage
- Delegate tasks to employees as needed within their crew
- Able to make decisions regarding production on a daily basis.
- Assist construction & paving crew with various duties such as but not limited to raking, shoveling, and running a wheelbarrow
- Knowledge of grade stakes and grade checking
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong work ethic
- Positive leadership mindset and ability to effectively manage crew members
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Valid drivers license and acceptable MVR for fleet insurance coverage
- Physical ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
- Adhere to all safety rules and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
- Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late, when necessary
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, etc.
Ideal Candidate
- 5 plus years as an experienced Concrete Forman or proven equivalent work history
- Ability and knowledge to operate Gomaco paving machines
- Bilingual is a plus!
