We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Day Care team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care, particularly for individuals with diverse health needs, including those with developmental disabilities and chronic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide care for patients with specific needs, including dementia care.
- Administer medications as directed by nursing staff while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Employ aseptic techniques to maintain a clean environment and prevent infections.
- Support patients with infectious disease care by following established protocols.
- Assist in the mobility of patients, ensuring their safety during transfers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility policies.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a Medical Day Care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Experience in inpatient settings or clinics is advantageous.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care to all patients.
