Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
The Opportunity
MBC is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our collaborative team of Speech-Language Pathologists, Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, Behavior Analysts, and administrative staff. The SLP will contribute to our multidisciplinary model and support our commitment to delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to a diverse client population. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an interdisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, communication, and feeding abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's and family's unique strengths and needs.
- Collaborate with MBC leadership, BCBAs, and interdisciplinary team members to implement treatment plans that address specific functional goals.
- Provide intervention to improve speech intelligibility, including articulation, fluency, motor speech, and vocal hygiene.
- Deliver therapy to enhance receptive and expressive language skills, including syntax, vocabulary, semantics, and pragmatic language, utilizing spoken, written, and AAC modalities as appropriate.
- Provide feeding therapy targeting oral-motor skills, swallowing, sensory needs, and food variety.
- Educate and support clients and families in understanding communication and feeding disorders and implementing strategies to promote carryover across home and community settings.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and adhere to all ethical, clinical, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Current state licensure or eligibility by start date.
- Demonstrated competence in speech-language evaluation, care planning, and treatment implementation.
- Experience working with children and adolescents with special needs in various settings such as home, school, and clinic settings.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and MBC team members.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, and follow up skills.
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience providing speech-language services to pediatric populations.
- Experience with AAC, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, feeding disorders, and Gestalt Language Processing.
- CPR certification.
