Summary:
The admissions liaison is responsible for effective coordination of admissions to the inpatient rehab unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate an effective, efficient admissions process for all patients.
- Receive referrals, gather and verify pertinent information, and complete necessary procedures to schedule and admit inpatients to the rehab units.
- Maintain knowledge of current regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance company reimbursement.
- Follows organizational and hospital policies and procedures.
- Assists in completion of non-clinical information on the pre-admission screens for rehab.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- Effectively markets rehab programs to internal and external referral sources

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Must have a college degree in marketing or business.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in admissions department preferred
- Strong understanding of current regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement for inpatient rehab preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers, software and a variety of office equipment.
