Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care.
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation, handling, and serving areas.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including basic food handling and café setup to ensure a clean and inviting environment.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operations and balancing daily sales.
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks such as serving customers, restocking supplies, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or café experience is preferred but not required; a passion for coffee and customer service is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong skills in retail math, basic math, and cash handling to ensure accurate transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive guest experience.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and basic food preparation techniques.
- Experience in the food industry or serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
