Job title: full-Time High-Complexity Lab Technologist. 40 hours per week Work Location: Cincinnati, Ohio : Toxicology Reports to: Technical Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The High Complexity Lab Tech is responsible for managing laboratory workflow, accessioning and preparing clinical toxicology samples, performing instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting.
LC-MS/MS workflows, and communicating with the technical supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to laboratory Policies and Procedures
- Monitors the pending queue in the LIS to ensure satisfactory turnaround times
- Collects and maintains data for daily, weekly, and monthly quality control and quality assurance review
- Ensures timely and quality performance of proficiency testing
- Demonstrates an understanding of CLIA and CAP requirements for laboratory documentation and inspection readiness.
- Organize samples/specimens, maintain inventory, and prepare buffers and reagents.
- Communicates effectively with the technical supervisor and laboratory director on workflow, data quality, and regulatory issues.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological; OR
- Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training
- High complexity lab experience preferred, but not required
- MUST HAVE 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN A CLIA LABORATORY

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
