Job Summary
Experienced Bulldozer Operator (5+ years experience required)
Typical Duties
- Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Performing maintenance checks, equipment inspection, daily track cleaning, fueling and greasing
- Be familiar with excavation plans and machine limitations and follow OSHA safe digging procedures
- Observe verbal communication, hand signals, grade stakes, grade control devices
- Be efficient at grading slopes, placing fill material in appropriate lifts thickness, maintaining haul roads, fine grading to within ½ tenth.
- Complete all duties as directed by supervisors
Skill, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
- Must have 5+ years experience operating finish dozer fine grading slopes, pads, and pavement areas.
- Be efficient at operating a dozer.
- Experience with GPS grade control systems.
- Able to maintain control of machine while watching the gauges and surrounding work area including people on the ground
- Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved with civil construction
- Physical ability to walk on uneven surfaces and climb on equipment to inspect and to get to operator's seat
- Must be able to read and follow all policies and procedures at UCC
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- 5+ years experience on Dozer
- Able to pass a Drug test
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Have a valid driver's license
- Must have own reliable transportation to and from job site
