American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week outpatient clinic assignment requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Outpatient clinic setting within the MRI department
-
Performs high-quality MRI examinations across a range of patient populations for physician interpretation
-
Procedures include general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
-
Primary shift is 5x8 hours, Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM–9:00 PM; 4x10 and 3x12 shift configurations may also be considered
-
Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required on a rotating basis, with the weekly schedule adjusted to maintain 40 total hours

No on-call requirement

May be required to float between two outpatient clinic locations

Charting via Epic (experience preferred)

Siemens equipment experience required; Sectra PACS experience preferred

Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience

Current BLS certification (AHA only)

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state license required if applicable

Proficiency with general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI

Siemens MRI equipment experience required

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Candidate must provide their own radiation badge — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, and local candidates are considered on a case-by-case basis

Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to unit and manager needs

Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
