Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in respiratory care, with a strong focus on critical and acute care settings. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and monitoring patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes through precise respiratory therapy interventions, airway management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in diverse clinical environments.
Duties
- Assess patients’ respiratory status through comprehensive evaluation of vital signs, lung function, and medical history.
- Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy in accordance with physician orders.
- Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment including ventilators, nebulizers, and airway management devices.
- Respond swiftly to cardiac arrest emergencies by providing advanced airway management and initiating life support protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients across various units including ICU, PICU, NICU, and emergency departments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, medication usage, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols during all procedures.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Respiratory Therapist from an accredited certifying body.
- Proven experience in hospital medicine with specialization in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine.
- Demonstrated proficiency in airway management techniques including intubation and ventilator management.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
- Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred; outpatient or clinic experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform patient assessment accurately while demonstrating excellent clinical judgment under pressure.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for documentation and data management.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills combined with technical proficiency in medical equipment operation.
- Prior experience in neonatal resuscitation procedures, pediatrics, geriatrics, or outpatient settings is desirable for versatile patient care delivery.

- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification. (Required)
