Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team in Skokie, IL. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years of CST or Surgical Technologist experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures.
- Set up sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons as needed.
- Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation.
- Ensure surgical equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Maintain a safe and organized operating room environment.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of CST or Surgical Technologist experience required.
- Operating Room experience required.
- NBSTSA certification/credentialing — certification is not required.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
