Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting products by providing detailed information, including effects, dosages, and usage tips
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Manage stock levels through stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and inventory checks
- Upsell products by highlighting benefits and recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction
- Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash drawer handling and retail math calculations
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments
- Support store cleanliness and organization to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Supervise or assist with supervising team members during shifts as needed
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations related to cannabis sales and retail operations
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments, is highly desirable
- Supervising experience in a retail setting is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential
- Strong communication skills in both bilingual (if applicable) and English are preferred
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to boost sales performance
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and inventory management practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional phone etiquette mindset
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and managing cash drawers effectively
