We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining settings. As a Grill Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meats according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate Grill/ Flat Top and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to ensure it meets restaurant standards.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or culinary industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Proficient knife skills for efficient food preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing high-quality meals.
- Knowledge of various temperatures of meat ranging from Rare Seared to Well Done.
