Position Summary
The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall administrative, operational, and financial management of The Practice. This position provides leadership for daily practice operations, supports providers and department leaders, promotes operational efficiency, and ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service. The Practice Manager works collaboratively with leadership to achieve organizational goals while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and practice policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the daily operations of multiple gastroenterology practice locations.
- Supervise department leaders and administrative staff, including front office, clinical support, laboratory,
billing, and patient services as assigned.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and workflow improvements to enhance
efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor staffing levels and coordinate recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management
in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Analyze operational and financial performance metrics and recommend strategies for continuous
improvement.
- Oversee facility operations, vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, and supply management.
- Collaborate with providers and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, practice growth, and
service expansion.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS regulations, payer requirements, accreditation standards,
and organizational policies.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Assist with budgeting, expense management, and operational planning.
- Lead regular staff meetings and promote effective communication across departments.
- Resolve complex operational issues, patient concerns, and staff conflicts in a professional and timely
manner.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and excellent patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive healthcare management experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Experience managing multi-provider outpatient medical practices preferred.
- Gastroenterology or other specialty practice experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Frequent walking between departments and clinical areas.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel between AAGA practice locations as needed.
Work Environment
Professional outpatient gastroenterology practice with frequent interaction among providers, staff, patients, vendors, and external healthcare partners. This position requires flexibility, leadership presence, and the ability to respond effectively to changing operational priorities.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
