Law Stein Anderson is seeking an experienced Civil Litigator with 5–15 years of experience and a strong background in civil defense or insurance defense. The ideal candidate can independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution while working collaboratively with partners, clients, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload from assignment through resolution.
- Develop case strategy and work directly with clients and insurance representatives.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other litigation filings.
- Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations.
- Prepare cases for trial, including discovery management, witness preparation, and exhibit organization.
- Attend court appearances and hearings throughout California.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- 5–15 years of civil litigation experience.
- Ability to independently manage litigation files and deadlines.
- Strong deposition, discovery, motion practice, and case management skills.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong organizational skills and professional judgment.
- Trial preparation and courtroom experience preferred.

Our litigation team represents businesses, property owners, nonprofit organizations, religious institutions, insurers, and other clients throughout California. Attorneys may also have opportunities to work on trust and estate litigation, business disputes, and other complex civil matters handled by the firm.
