American Traveler is seeking a PTA with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care outpatient assignment, with a strong orthopedics background and Epic proficiency.

Outpatient acute care setting within a physical therapy department
-
Patient population is orthopedic-heavy, with geriatric, balance, and deconditioning cases
-
Typical caseload is 8 to 11 patients per day

Uses Epic EMR for documentation and charting

8 or 10-hour day shifts, weekdays only
-
No weekend or holiday coverage required

Flexible scheduling available

Current PTA license required if applicable

Current BLS certification (AHA) required

Minimum 2 years of PTA experience required

Experience with orthopedics required

Driver's license required for consideration

Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration

Two references required for consideration: one supervisor reference and one peer or additional supervisor reference

Treat a variety of outpatient acute care patients including orthopedic, geriatric, balance, and deconditioning diagnoses

Department-specific orientation is provided

Business casual dress code required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying

Former permanent staff of this facility are not eligible to return as travelers

Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year before a 2-year break is required
