What You’ll Do
As an In-Home Caregiver, you’ll provide compassionate, one-on-one care by:
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with meal planning.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Assisting with medication reminders or administration according to the care plan.
- Monitoring clients’ well-being and reporting changes in condition.
- Safely assisting with transfers and mobility using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices when needed.
- Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe home environment.
- Accurately documenting care and observations while maintaining client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or group homes preferred.
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with dementia, developmental disabilities, autism, or hospice clients is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to safely lift and assist clients as needed.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and commitment to protecting client privacy.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation are required.
- Must be able to travel between clients’ homes during scheduled shifts.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional care.
