Flexible hourly contract position working in the early intervention field both in clinic and in the community.
Looking for either part time or build up to full time hours
Can accommodate CFs or those in the process of obtaining a DC license
Our primary role is working with infants and toddlers to evaluate, assess, and provide therapeutic interventions to both identify and address potential speech and language delays or disorders in their natural environments, like at home, through play-based activities and close collaboration with parents and caregivers
Roles and Responsibilities
- Complete all training requirements and participate in meetings.
- Provide therapy/interventions/assessments with families/clients (via telehealth and in-person)
- Collaborate as a multi-disciplinary team member for program planning and delivery of services for the birth to 4 population.
- Complete any and all documentation forms required by company.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional relationships with co-workers, colleagues, clients and clients’ families.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with all state and federal laws
- Adhere to scheduled hours and project a professional image at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
- Adhere to any and all company written and oral policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of evidence-based and best practices in their field.
- Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Holds current DC Department of Health license or is going to apply
- Is certified by ASHA for SLP -- (Clinical Fellows can apply)
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Physical and/or other medical examinations/clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in early intervention or pediatric rehabilitative services preferred.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary assessments and evaluations (training can be provided)
- CPR certification (can be provided by company)
Additional Notes
Background check and drug screenings will be performed pre-employment and routinely.
