Duties
- Prepare and assemble deli foods according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their experience through upselling techniques.
- Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food handling areas, kitchen equipment, and dining surfaces, adhering to food safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including slicers, ovens, and refrigeration units.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions accurately, and balance cash drawers at shift end.
- Support retail sales transactions by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about deli offerings.
- Uphold food safety management practices by following sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in restocking supplies and organizing the deli area to ensure a clean and inviting environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or café environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitation standards diligently.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Food preparation knowledge combined with a passion for delivering quality food experiences.
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire is advantageous.
