Eastern Security Corp is hiring experienced Fire Life Safety Directors for immediate placement at Class A commercial buildings throughout New York City. We are seeking professional, dependable, and customer service-oriented candidates who can effectively manage fire and life safety operations in accordance with NYC Fire Code.
Pay: $29.00 per hour
Available Positions
Position 1 Part-Time
Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM 36-Hour
Position 2 Part-Time Steady Position
Saturday 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM and Sunday 07:30 AM -7:30 PM 20 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Maintain all required fire and life safety logbooks in accordance with NYC Fire Code Serve as the primary liaison with FDNY and emergency responders Communicate with property management and company supervisors Conduct fire drills and implement the building’s Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plan Coordinate inspections, testing, and maintenance of life safety systems Perform patrols and access control when required Respond professionally to emergencies and building incidents
Requirements
- Valid NYS Security Guard License Must possess a valid F-89 Fire Life Safety Director Certificate of Fitness High School Diploma or GED Ability to pass a drug screening Reliable transportation Must be at least 21 years of age
Qualifications
- Strong communication and report writing skills Excellent emergency response and decision-making abilities Experience monitoring fire alarm systems and radio communications Professional interaction with tenants, visitors, and property management Strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
