Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and open tabs with precision
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Assist with food handling, preparation support, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and manage guest flow
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, wine knowledge, or dietary needs
- Support team members with general restaurant operations to ensure a smooth service experience
Experience
- Prior food service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation techniques
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while processing sales efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Basic math skills for bill calculations and processing payments confidently
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards is advantageous
