Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, cycle counts, and updating warehouse management systems using RF scanners.
- Assist with order picking and packing using various tools including to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining shipment accuracy.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory management strategies and participate in regular safety training sessions to uphold safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in inventory management systems such as AS400 or RF scanners.
- Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks, and other heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during order picking & packing processes.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, stock management, or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on inventory control and warehouse distribution processes.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment and support warehouse supervision efforts.
- Must pass drug test and background verification.
