Position Overview
As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and property. Your professionalism, alertness, and attention to detail will support smooth daily operations and promote peace of mind at assigned sites.
Primary Responsibilities
- Protect People & Property: Perform routine patrols, monitor security equipment, and safeguard personnel and assets.
- Access Control & Incident Response: Oversee entry points, inspect facilities, respond promptly to alarms, and handle suspicious activity professionally.
- Reporting & Documentation: Enforce policies, complete accurate incident reports, and maintain thorough daily activity logs.
- Operational Assistance: Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic, support entry/exit procedures, monitor building systems, and report safety or maintenance issues.
- Compliance: Follow all company policies, safety standards, and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Licenses: Active Florida Class D Security License and valid Florida Driver’s License; reliable transportation required.
- Language: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is mandatory.
- Skills: Strong communication and customer service capabilities; computer literacy for report writing; personal smartphone required for communication and reporting.
- Professional Traits: Professional appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
