Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Optometrist to join our dynamic well established medical practice in Buffalo Grove & Barrington Il. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a high-volume setting with strong referral flow and a supportive clinical team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnosis and management of ocular conditions, and patient education.

Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations, including visual acuity testing, refraction, and ocular health assessments
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive errors
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems to accurately document patient histories, clinical findings, and treatment plans
- Perform pre- and post-operative evaluations for ophthalmology procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with optical teams to recommend appropriate eyewear solutions
- Fit Contact Lenses
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and ophthalmology best practicesRequirements
- Valid license or certification as a licensed Optometrist or Medical Optometrist in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with a focus on patient care
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms
- Experience contact lens fitting, and pediatric eye care preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and compassionately
- Knowledge of medical coding practices for billing purposes and insurance claims processing

Pay: $145,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
