Job Summary
We are seeking a hospitality professional to serve as our Club Manager mainly in the Food and Beverage (F&B) area. You will oversee all clubhouse dining, bar operations, and private club events. Our club prides itself on delivering excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere to our members and guests. The ideal candidate will manage daily floor operations, supervise front-of-house staff, and control labor and beverage costs. You will work closely with our Kitchen Team to deliver an exceptional member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- · Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the dining room, bar, patio, and halfway house. Work closely with the chef/kitchen staff to coordinate menus and service flow.
- Staff management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all front-of-house service staff and bartenders. Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Member Relations: Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak dining hours to build relationships with members and handle feedback promptly and professionally.
- Event Execution: Work with Events Committee to plan and execute club-sponsored events, tournaments (F&B), and private member functions.
- Financial Control: Manage beverage inventory, place vendor orders, and control front-of-house labor costs to meet budget targets. Maintain POS system
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all local Illinois liquor laws, health department codes, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 – 5+ years of food and beverage management experience (club or hospitality settings preferred).
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on staff training & development, team management, and effective communication. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Certification: Current Illinois BASSET certification and Food Protection Manger certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with POS systems (Club Caddie or equivalent is a plus). Strong background in inventory control and budgeting.
- Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays based on seasonal club events.
