Job Summary
As the Lead Development Specialist at Jordahl Custom Homes, you serve as the first point of connection for prospective clients. This role is responsible for capturing, qualifying, and nurturing buyer interest—from the first inquiry through scheduled appointment—while ensuring no opportunity is missed.
You will work across inbound and outbound channels, responding quickly to new leads, re-engaging existing opportunities, and proactively generating new ones through outreach, events, and networking.
This role blends inside sales, lead generation, and digital presence management, and is essential to creating a seamless and professional experience for every potential customer. You succeed in this role by being proactive, adaptable, tech-savvy, and highly communicative, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to quickly move from one opportunity to the next.
Compensation
- Base salary plus performance-based bonus and commission opportunities
- Incentives tied to lead conversion, appointment setting, and pipeline growth
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from phone, email, website forms, and listing platforms
- Provide after-hours and weekend responsiveness to ensure timely follow-up on new leads
- Qualify buyer leads using established questions and criteria
- Document all lead activity, notes, and follow-ups in the CRM
- Nurture warm and inactive leads to re-engage interest and move them toward appointment readiness
- Schedule appointments and coordinate seamless handoff to the sales team
- Explore creative ways to generate interest and build pipeline activity
- Support and participate in local events, partnerships, and networking opportunities
- Help maintain a consistent and professional online brand presence
- Support the sales team with light administrative coordination
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong phone presence and communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport
- Highly responsive with a strong sense of urgency, including evenings and weekends
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up discipline
- Ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable using CRM systems, online platforms, and digital tools
- Comfortability with AI tools and technology to improve efficiency and communication
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to generate activity when needed
- Adaptable and quick to adjust in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance service and efficiency
Education & Experience
- Previous experience in inside sales, lead generation, customer service, or similar role preferred
- Real estate, homebuilding, or housing industry experience strongly valued
- Experience with online listing platforms (Zillow, etc.) is a plus
- Familiarity with content creation, social media, or marketing support is a plus
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
