Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Server to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits knowledge, to upsell specials and enhance guest experience
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions, process payments securely, and give correct change using basic math skills
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and dining areas through bussing and sanitation practices
- Support food preparation and kitchen staff when needed, ensuring food safety standards are met
- Engage with guests to foster guest relations, address inquiries or concerns promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with opening or closing duties as assigned, including inventory checks and setup or breakdown of service areas
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing time effectively
- Food handling certification and adherence to sanitation standards required
- Previous experience with upselling techniques to increase sales revenue
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor; previous host/hostess or cashiering experience is beneficial
