Senior Electrical Operations Manager
Location: Remote (East Coast or Midwest Preferred)Travel: 65% +/-
We are a nationwide provider of commercial electrical infrastructure, lighting, EV charging, controls, and energy solutions. We partner with leading commercial and industrial customers to deliver high-quality electrical projects across the United States.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Operations Manager who is more than a project manager—we're looking for a hands-on electrical leader who still enjoys troubleshooting complex electrical systems, mentoring field teams, solving customer problems, and delivering projects from start to finish.
This is a leadership role for someone who has progressed from the field into management but hasn't lost their technical expertise.
What You'll Do
* Lead multiple commercial electrical projects and field operations nationwide.* Provide technical leadership and support for field teams on complex electrical issues.* Troubleshoot electrical systems and assist with problem resolution when needed.* Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and customer relationships.* Coordinate with customers, vendors, engineers, and internal operations teams.* Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.* Oversee RFIs, change orders, procurement, and project reporting.* Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.* Mentor project managers, superintendents, foremen, and electricians.* Support estimating, preconstruction planning, and operational improvements.* Travel to project sites as needed to support customers and field teams. What We're Looking For
* 10+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.* 5+ years in project management, operations, or field leadership.* Strong troubleshooting experience with commercial electrical systems.* Experience managing multiple projects and field personnel.* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications.* Excellent customer communication and relationship-building skills.* Comfortable traveling nationally.
Preferred Qualifications
* Journeyman or Master Electrician background strongly preferred.* Experience with electrical service, power distribution, lighting, EV charging, controls, or national account work.* Experience supporting technicians and field operations.* OSHA 30 certification.* Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar project management software.
Success in This Role
The ideal candidate is a player-coach — someone who can lead people while still being comfortable putting on PPE, walking a job site, troubleshooting electrical issues, and helping customers solve difficult problems.
We're not looking for someone who manages projects exclusively from a desk. We're looking for a leader who has earned the respect of electricians by doing the work and who enjoys helping teams succeed.
