Substitute Pay Rates for the 2026-27 School Year
**Please NOTE: Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, all substitutes will be paid based on the
actual hours worked. Full day = 7 hours, any time worked less than 7 hours will be paid as actual
hours worked.
Teacher/Instructional Assistant
*requires DESE substitute certificate or a teaching certification $135 per day
Long- term Teacher/Instructional Assistant
15 + consecutive days in same role $150 per day after day 15
*requires DESE substitute certificate or a teaching certification
Nurse $180 per day
Long-term Nurse sub $195 per day after day 15
15 + consecutive days in same role *retroactive to day 1.

Bus Aide $16.50/hour
Bus Driver $22.61/hour
Cashier/Server $15.51/hour
Custodial/Security $15.49/hour
Health Service Aide $17.17/hour

Maintenance $16.17/hour
Noon Duty *requires a principal recommendation $15.35/hour
PAT Screener $25.00/hour*
Secretary $15.96/hour*
Note – *Hourly positions will be required to fill out timesheets.
