What You'll Do
As our QMS Manager, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining our quality systems while supporting production and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs)
- Conduct in-process and final inspections
- Generate dimensional inspection reports
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
- Support, maintain, and continually improve our Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Lead internal quality initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Train and mentor machinists, operators, and production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding quality requirements and documentation
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards
Qualifications
We're looking for someone with:
- 5+ years of quality experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Extensive knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (AS9102 experience is a plus)
- Experience creating dimensional inspection reports
- Proficiency using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and other inspection tools
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with machinists, programmers, customers, and management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
- AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Defense, aerospace, semiconductor, or medical manufacturing
- Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Internal auditing
- Supplier quality
- Customer quality documentation
- ERP and quality management software
