Join our dynamic team as an OTR Car Hauler Driver, where you will be the vital link in transporting vehicles across long distances and regional distances with precision and care. Your role involves hauling a variety of automobiles—including standard cars, specialty vehicles, and hazardous materials—using specialized trailers such as flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated units. You will navigate diverse routes across regions, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while adhering to all federal and state transportation regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped for automobile transportation across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently using manual handling techniques and proper cargo securing methods to prevent damage during transit.
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor progress, and adapt to changing traffic or road conditions for timely deliveries.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers—including properly tying down straps on cars and tighting straps
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or unforeseen delays to maintain seamless operations.
- Follow all safety protocols during loading/unloading procedures and manual handling of cargo to ensure personal safety and cargo integrity.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record, no major accidents within past three years
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially and preferably in automobile/car hauling and car securement transportation or freight delivery over long distances.
- Ability to operate 7 car hauler trailer types
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning on over-the-road (OTR) routes.
- Physical capability to load/unload vehicles manually and handle logistics cargo handling tasks safely and efficiently.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route driving efficiency, and hazard awareness.
Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,500.00 per week
