Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment within our substance abuse and mental health treatment facility. This role is essential in supporting patient care by ensuring all areas of the facility meet high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, and common areas
Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks (dusting, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting)
Follow infection control and safety protocols in accordance with healthcare standards
Safely handle and dispose of trash, biohazard materials, and linens
Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory needs
Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy at all times
Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping experience preferred (healthcare or behavioral health setting a plus)
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to maintain professionalism in a sensitive environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
