Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medium/heavy duty maintenance and repair. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of medium/heavy duty equipment (mostly semi trucks and trailers). Your expertise will ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Diagnose issues using various tools and techniques, including computer software.
- Ensure payment is received on each job performed before the customer/equipment is released.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed.
- Complete roadside and on-site repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a medium/heavy duty Mechanic is required.
- Familiarity with computer software diagnostics is required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Details
- You will be provided a service truck equipped with all tools necessary to perform roadside/on-site repairs of semi trucks and trailers & other medium/heavy duty equipment
- You will be provided with a company phone to receive customer or dispatch calls on jobs needed to complete
- You will be on an on-call rotation and be expected to answer calls, complete jobs and collect payment at all times while you're on-call, including after normal business hours (middle of the night/early morning) and weekends
