Part-Time Trim Sander
Pay: $16.00/hour
Schedule: Wednesday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (18 hours/week)
We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Trim Sander. This position is primarily focused on hand sanding decorative trim and molding pieces used in our custom mirror manufacturing process.
No experience is required—we're happy to train the right person. If you enjoy working with your hands, have patience, and take pride in producing quality work, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Hand sand decorative MDF trim pieces to create smooth, paint-ready surfaces.
- Remove machining marks and prepare trim for the primer department.
- Inspect each piece for imperfections and maintain high quality standards.
- Use the proper sandpaper grits and hand sanding techniques.
- Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe.
- Work with the production team to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in woodworking, cabinet shops, furniture manufacturing, painting preparation, or sanding.
- Experience using hand sanding tools or small power sanders.
