Job Title: Houseman/Van Driver

Reports To: Food & Beverage Supervisor
SUMMARY
Responsible for setting up and breaking down all dining areas, public common areas, lounges and meeting rooms including indoor and outdoor common areas. Ensures that all special events are setup in accordance with the supervisor's instructions and as stated on the Banquet Event Order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receives and constructs floor plans for special events, functions, and meetings.
- Ensures that floor plans are carried out and completed per Banquet Event Order
- Ensures that rental equipment is properly brought on to the property.
- Sets up and operates audio visual (AV) equipment as necessary.
- Learns floor plan and memorizes table numbers.
- Ensures all linen is clean and organized and sends it out daily for cleaning.
- Remains on hand throughout the event for any special changes or rearrangements.
- Ensures meeting rooms are properly stocked and cleaned.
- Works closely with buffet attendants to ensure their needs for each event.
- Ensures work area is organized, clean, stocked, and ready for the next shift.
- Communicates with members, co-workers, management, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of Mizner Country Club.
- Drive van for the transport of international employees to and from Mizner Country Club.
- Provide clear and effective communication.
- Monitor state of the van and coordinate gas and maintenance with supervisor. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Must always maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Operate van in a safe and secure manner, with regard to employees and the Club.
- Ability to pass background screening and motor vehicle record requirements.
- Ability to be familiar with designated routes and various roads for efficient transportation of employees. Must be knowledgeable of approved parking areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Supervisor
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
