POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, monitoring stock movements, and ensuring that inventory management processes run smoothly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Maintainaccurateinventory records in ERP/MRP system for raw materials,sub-assemblies, and finished goods.
- Investigateroot causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze inventory data toidentifytrends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor inventory levelsand communicate shortages,risksor excess material.
- Ensure properhandling of electrical components, hardware, and fabricatedparts.
- Perform regular physical counts of inventory, reconcile discrepancies, andsupport annual physical inventory and internal audits.
- Prepare inventory reports, track stock levels, and report on inventory performance and issues.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels, order status, and product movements.
- Ensure that inventory is stored properly andremainsin good condition, reporting any damaged goods or expired items.
- Suggest and implement improvements to inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Follow safety, quality, and inventory control procedures.
- Support 5S leaninitiatives, and warehouse organization efforts.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and industry regulations related to inventory control.
- Otherresponsibilitiesasassigned by plant and corporate leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or related fields.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred).
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or related fields.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiencyin inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
Work Environment: This position operates primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing environment and requires regular presence on the production floor. The role involves a combination of standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and light to moderate physical activity throughout the workday. Duties may include handling materials and products, operating material handling equipment, and working around moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing or warehouse setting. The position requires adherence to all safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable, and may require schedule flexibility, including to support operational and customer needs.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
